My Ladies Tennis Team made it to the USTA Districts in Maine. We play from Sept-May competing against 5 other teams and the top team (or 2 teams some years) have the privilege of attending the yearly competition. It is really tough competition for so many reasons...
1- It's women's tennis, so you have all the issues that women bring to a competition. In other words, they bring more than tennis baggage onto the courts. This makes it stressful!
2-It's the best competition from New England in their divisions, so we play more people, some at the top of the 3.5 level! This makes it exciting!
3- We play at scheduled times, but they can be between 8 am and 10 pm. This makes it aggravating when we have the last match of the day and we don't get on the courts until 2 hours after our scheduled time.
4- It's fun!
Our team is doing really well this year. We have completed 2 out of 3 of our matches. We lost the first match 2-3, won the second match 4-1 that places us in second place. Our last match will determine if we advance to Sunday's semi-finals and then finals!
