Just Plain Nuts...that's me

Every year, our local tennis club has a Cancer Fundraiser in honor of one of its members who died from cancer years ago.  Her husband is still a member of the club and a very kind man.
So, each year the club hosts a "Burn" in which a ton of people play tennis games on the court, which is preceded by a silent auction of donations and then is followed by a fun pot-luck.

This is one of the greatest things the club does.  People come up with clever and fun things for the auction.  One year, one man, a true character, auctioned off a dinner with himself, a chance to pick his brain on all things he likes, hunting, NH politics and motorcycles.  As a team, we made "breakfast in bed" gift baskets and our friends gave away weekends at their second home.  In years past they slowly raised more than $9,000 in one weekend.  And it was fun!

So, this year I offered to compile a cookbook of recipes given to me by other members.  I have less than one month to pull this together, type, print and bind 10 copies and prepare them for auction.  People have been great about contributing recipes.  I only hope the cookbooks sell!

Your cookbook idea sounds great - Good luck with it!
