Thanksgiving Preparations

So, step 1 - See who is coming to dinner is mostly done.
Weather permitting, it will be Dame & Laurie, M, Dad, us + Stephen.
Not a big group, but sometimes we invite friends as well.

Step 2 - Plan the menu -This step is the most fun.  Each year I have kept track of the menu we have at the holidays.  Each holiday brings its own special foods for that occasion.  Thanksgiving's unique treats are:
Sofia Loren's Turkey slow roasted with apricots, chestnuts, pears and prosciutto.
Cranberry Ambrosia
Sausage Stuffing with Olives and Onion
Pumpkin dessert (always changing...pumpkin pie, cheesecake or torte)

Then, Dad always make 10 different vegetables, roasted potatoes, salad and appetizers.
No one leaves the table hungry.

This year I have been looking for a new recipe to share.  For appetizers I am going to try Spinach and Goat Cheese Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms (I will post the recipe at a later date).
I am in search of a pumpkin dessert to be extravagant!
