Another NYTimes Winner

On the heels of last week's post from the NY Times about foods packing super doses of nutrition, here is another article sent to me by my father (Thanks Dad) about healthy foods that are very inexpensive....Healthy Foods for Under $1
Now, the list is simple, easy to purchase, easy to prepare and totally reasonable for busy families to use.
Really, it is about getting back to basics, cutting back or eliminating prepared (pre-packaged, nutritionally void foods).   Hungry, cook an egg... easy, cheap and healthy.  If you are organized, precook the eggs, hard boil them and store them in the fridge, already cooked.  That way, you can snack on a hard boiled egg, quickly turn it into egg salad or just slice it and add it to some greens for protein on a salad.
Love it!
