Steak (whatever you prefer) cut up into bite size pieces
1 pat butter
salt and pepper
chopped garlic (1 tsp)
1/2 beef broth (optional)
1 cup red wine
Season the cute up steak with salt and pepper.
Heat butter in a skillet.
In batches, to not overcrowd pan, cook steak bites for about 3 min until seared. (If you like your steak well done, cook longer. If you like your steak rare, sear just until your liking).
Remove batches to a platter.
When all steak is cooked, remove from pan and add chopped garlic.
When sizzling for 10 seconds, deglaze pan with beef broth and wine. You can skip the beef broth if you choose. It gives a "meaty" flavor, but the reduced wine is delicious plain, too.
Cook down until reduced by at least half.
Pour over steak and serve.
