Mosquito Season

It is bug season... black flies and mosquitos.
Here are some repellents and remedies for mosquito bites.

Repellent -
Cover all exposed flesh with clothing - socks and scarves will be necessary.
citronella (need to be very close to either the burning candle or the oil)
lavender and basil soak in water and make a spray or rub the leaves on exposed skin

Some people find temporary relief by rubbing a dry bar of soap across the bite (relief should last 4 hours)
Heat - very hot temperature, the kind that is uncomfortable, but not burning, for example a cup of coffee or tea and press the hot mug against the bite or take a washcloth and microwave it until hot, place on bite.  (Relief should last for a long time)
