We started out the day by leaving the house at 7:30 am and by 2:00 she had passed her written test, eye exam and driving test with 100%.
She was so nervous. We practiced parallel parking today before we arrived in Concord. Then we waited in line for the written test sheets.
She took the test and we waited in line for 20 minutes behind one person who had some "incredible" story that went on and on, that required 3 DMV attendants and a supervisor. Finally, one of them sprouted a brain and asked the amazing storyteller to have a seat while they looked into her story. I tell you, nothing was more frustrating than having to wait in a line (designated for new drivers) that wasn't moving, while 2 other lines moved promptly.
Even more frustrating was that this woman wasn't a "new driver" but rather someone who jumped into a short line trying to get assistance while holding up everyone else. But, I digress...
So, at 9:30 in the morning, they gave us a 1:20 appointment for the driving test. Is it me or isn't it a little strange to expect us to wait 4 hours for a test?
So, we ran a few errands, got some school supplies, stopped for a light snack and practiced some "city driving". It all paid off as Allie passed the driving test easily, so I am grateful for that.
She and Ashley are busy making plans to go see a movie together.
