What is this world coming to when an ice cream company names an ice cream flavor after gay-marriage?
Ben & Jerry's Vermont Ice Cream (no stranger to outrageous marketing tactics) has renamed ice cream flavor formally known as Chubby Hubby to "Hubby Hubby" as a cheer to Vermont legalizing gay marriage.
This flavor - vanilla ice cream mixed with chocolate covered peanut butter stuffed pretzels and swirls of fudge & peanut butter - is now a marketing genius for the ice cream giant.
In addition to selling premium ice cream, they take on left wing political causes -- as long as they boost sales and create marketing opportunities, that is.
So, while this story is making the media rounds for shock value, the geniuses at B&J are laughing all the way to the bank.
Of course, go ahead and buy their ice cream to show your support for gay marriage. Can't you see how there is a direct correlation between purchasing their "Hubby Hubby" and expressing your political views?
