Update on Detroit Plane Terrorist

The case of the "alleged" Al Quada terrorist grows more informative each day.
This situation is on everyone's minds -- when Veron, Jalal and I were at the Foothills in Warner, this situation was being discussed at neighboring tables. The subject is constantly being discussed by shop clerks, tennis players and it seems - everyone else. It was another act of terror inflicted on our country, in our world.
Details have emerged that the bomb failed to detonate - either due to ignorance or incompetence on the part of the suspect.
The media has made the hero out to be just a bystander -- but they couldn't be further from the truth. The hero, Jasper Schuringer, still engaged in a heroic act - he did not have the benefit of time to analyze the situation - he just acted. Thankfully, his actions saved passengers from further disaster. Luckily, the bomb did not detonate and the suspect was apprehended before he had time to inflict further terror.

Here is the photo released by ABC news, showing the place where the bomber hid chemical weapons. Apparently, he sewed a pouch into the crotch. Below is un-ignited powder.
What a horrendous monster.

Here we have evidence of the lengths terrorists will go through - strapping chemicals to their genitals to ignite a bomb. Airport screeners failed to find this. The suspect's father alerted authorities after he discovered his son's beliefs and activities relating to extremism. The suspect was on a watch list.
And yet, he legally boarded a plane into the United States carrying weapons.

The TSA has the sole job of screening passengers looking for weapons of any kind - physical, chemical, liquid, etc. They were unable to find this -- for reasons unknown at this time.
What makes the government secure in the belief that Weapons of Mass Destruction or WMD are not in existence? Just because some "inspectors" from the UN with a political bend to support terrorists over the USA claimed to not find any at one location?

Maybe they should have searched the underpants of the Iraqi scientists & Hussein's armies?

Where is the outrage? How have we become so complacent? The events of September 11th were horrifying. Today, less than 10 years later, we as a society have forgotten that we are vulnerable.
We elected a man into the White House who does not view our nation's safety as a priority. National Health Care, destroying the automotive industry (Cash for Clunkers), the financial industry (the Recovery Act), appointing czar's (his friends) to various committees, vacationing, looking after Europe's interests, going to the "Environmental Summit", bowing to dignitaries, gifting the Queen with an i-pod of his speeches, planting a garden.... these are Washington's priorities.

May God help us.
