Today when I was at Walgreens, the man in front of me stood in surprise while trying to buy his purchases. The clerk scanned his bottle of Rolaids and her cash register/checkout machine started flashing and beeping.
"uh, it says DO NOT SELL THIS PRODUCT".
The man asked what that meant and she replied that she couldn't sell him the Rolaids because the machine was telling her that....
He was dumbfounded, as was I and said, "OK" and left the store.
I wasn't sure what that was about as I have never seen a clerk refuse to sell a product unless it was alcohol or God forbid, cough syrup without an I.D.
When I got home, I saw the TYLENOL Product Recall on the news site.
Contaminated products have a musty smell.
No deaths have been reported, but people who do ingest the contaminated product experience vomiting and stomach pains.
It seems that many McNeil products are recalled including Tylenol Arthritis, Rolaids & many Children's Tylenol Products:
Tylenol Extra Strength
Tylenol 8 Hr
Tylenol Children's Meltaways
Benadryl Allergy ULTRATAB
Rolaids Antacid Tablets
Simply Sleep Products
St. Joseph Products
Be sure to check your medicines before you use them. If at any time, the smell is off, discard the medicine.
Pretty amazing that the store managed to "catch" the product just hours after the recall was announced.
