Wisdom Teeth

Around age 16 most teenagers have their wisdom teeth removed. At this point, I feel it has become fairly routine, almost automatic as doctors err on the side of removing the teeth rather than letting them emerge as nature intended.
Some people's teeth appears impacted, as if there will not be enough room in their mouths and some people's wisdom teeth grow in the wrong direction.
I had mine out when I was 17. Allie had her teeth removed at 15 and Ashley just had her wisdom teeth removed today at age 16.
All went very well and she is recovering nicely.
She kind of resembles this creature right now, but that should subside in 48 hours...
She is looking forward to a diet of soft cold foods for the next 24 - 48 hours. So bring on the applesauce....
the puddings...
And the dreaded ice cream....

After that time she graduates to soft warm foods that don't require chewing (scrambled eggs, pasta, oatmeal). Then she can add chicken and cooked veggies to her diet.
In 14 days she can start having the crunchy stuff.
