Busy, Busy, Busy!

The first day of spring and we received over 6 inches of heavy wet snow!  The bright side is that (hopefully) it won't stick around long.  Although, we are expecting another 4 inches tomorrow!
Mother Nature isn't the only one who has been busy, though.  Allie designed this shape below with a computer engineering program.  Then, she and her father put the digital design into a computer program hooked up to a 3D printer and "printed" this image!  That was only part her calculus assignment.  She then had to calculate the volume of the shape.
Personally, I don't even know where to start doing that, but alas, my daughter took the task with excitement and enthusiasm.  Weird kid, huh?

I did my part by photographing her design. (That is a quarter next to it to show scale). It is a pretty complex and big design.

Due to the minor blizzard, tennis practice was cancelled.  While this might seem like a rest period -- it was anything but!  Parents had to be notified. Courts had to be cancelled, etc.  And we are down 1 day for practice.  Matches start in less than 2 weeks, whether we practice or not!

And here is our adopted cat, "Kat" doing her part during the tail end of the blizzard.  Being busy is just a state of mind!
