This weekend, we celebrated Jon's parents 83rd birthdays. I made them their annual lobster roll and then a birthday cake... chocolate, of course. It had 5 layers of cake, 3 chocolate, 2 vanilla surrounded by chocolate frosting.
I decorated it with a light coat of frosting and then added an outside layer of squiggles.... It added an interesting texture that made the cake a bit unusual.
