Looking at Colleges: RPI

We drove down to Troy, NY to tour Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or "RPI" with Ashley on Friday.  We actually spent the night in Albany and arrived first thing in the morning at RPI.  It was a beautiful day, with a crisp autumn chill in the air.  This was perfect walking weather for our foot tour of the college.  I feel that colleges are current day kingdoms and spending time at RPI only confirms this for me.

Here are one of the buildings. It has an arch that you can see part of in the bottom of the photo.  The arch is a way to way through the building onto either the main street or a part of campus.  The building is regal and classic.
There are pieces of artwork, sculptures, fountains and gardens throughout the kingdom campus.  They are individually breathtaking.
Here is a bridge that connects the campus so the students don't have to cross traffic on the main street.
The architecture is quite impressive.  There are steeples, stained glass, glass sheets, pillars, brick, stone and metal.  Unreal.
This building looks like a church, but is their computer area.  It is built like a fortress.
Ashley and Jon agreed to pose for this photo at the beginning of our exploration.
Ashley agreed to pose for one with me!
