More Ideas for Pinecones

Here is another post on Pine Cones.  The first post was on treating pine cones that you gathered in the woods and the second page offered some ideas for projects with little kiddos.  Here are some ideas that are a bit more challenging, but very beautiful.
Ranger Rick from NWF
Ranger Rick shares this idea for using all natural items to transform this pinecone into an owl.  Use acorn caps, pods and seeds to make this creature.
Sweet Paul
Use pine cones as a door decoration, inside or outdoors.  Sweet Paul offers instructions as was used in Country Living magazine.

Good Housekeeping
Good Housekeeping has this idea for transforming pine cones into miniature trees for a tablescape.  Good Housekeeping doesn't offer detailed instructions, but the idea is to set the cones in a sturdy dish or candleholder and adding a star on top.
Martha Stewart.
Martha shares this idea for using feathers and pipecleaners to transform this pinecone into turkey.
Twig and Thistle
Here is a beautiful garland using pine cones and sturdy ribbon.  Very pretty over a fireplace or doorway.

Country Living
Country Living uses pine cones to make a topiary.  Very cute idea.

Here is a craft using felt made to look like a pine cone!  Felt is cut into strips and then wound around a styrofoam egg.  It looks realistic.
