What the? Wild Animals set free in Ohio?

It doesn't get much weirder than this one... A man who kept a wildlife preserve on his property in Ohio, committed suicide.  OK, a little strange.  But, here is the really strange part.  Before he killed himself, he opened the doors to the cages of the wild animals.  Among them are bears, lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes and wolves.
Since the release/escape of the 48 animals, 30 have been hunted and killed.
Because of the nature of the beasts and the fact that it was night, authorities were left with no option besides a kill order.  They couldn't risk a tranquilized animal evading capture and waking up in someone's backyard or garage.
Schools closed and road signs flash "CAUTION EXOTIC ANIMALS, STAY IN VEHICLES".
Luckily, a caretaker informed police that the animals were fed on Monday....

What if they want a snack?
