Tonight's full moon is called a supermoon and will be 16 percent brighter than our typical full moon!
It will also be the biggest full moon of 2012. The moon will come within 221,802 miles of the earth at 11:35 pm EST. Even though it is closest of all the moon cycles, it doesn't bring increase chance of earthquake, high tides or flooding... But some speculate that it helps pregnant women go into labor.
One things for sure, the full moon brings out the loonies in humans and I wonder if the enhanced brightness will have an effect of that too!
