Fall in New England, particularly NH is a marvelous thing. Some years, it is bold and begins in August with the drop in temperature and the early foliage. Other years, it is cut short by an early snow storm. The cold night air burns off in the morning sun, on those days when we are lucky enough to see the sun.
This year, we had a long summer. But, winter is coming and the nights are getting much cooler. The leaves are finally turning. And it seemed to happen overnight.
Things went from green to bursts of color, like these red ones.
Or these glowing yellow ones.
And sometimes, I'll spot a tree that can't make up it's mind and is half green, half colored!
