Here is my last post about some New Mexico views. The weather, architecture, colors and pace of life is so different from New England. For one thing, it actually looked like spring, even if it was cool with temperatures in the 50's.
Unlike NH's granite hills, the rock is bleached red. It is everywhere with so much texture and interest.
The wind and rain carved holes. I was careful to peek inside, in case something was living there.
The mountains were far away but always within view. The foliage on the ground was unusual for this Yankee too. Few maples and oaks... We even saw tumbleweeds.
And the blue skies were gorgeous. It seemed that everyday we saw the bluest skies ever.
