Monoprint Monday - Perennial SunflowersPer

My rendition of Perennial Sunflowers
In addition to the gorgeous sunflowers that my father grows each summer, he also has a bunch of perennial sunflowers that he got from an old friend.   Unlike traditional sunflowers that have to be planted each year, perennial sunflowers come back on their own. But unlike traditional sunflowers, they are smaller and more plentiful, growing multiple flowers per stem.
I drew this photo for my father, to remember the flowers after they've gone by this fall. I sketched these using colored pencil and ink on a piece of textured cardstock that I monoprinted with my Gelli-plate.
