On Thursday night central New Hampshire felt a 2.5 earthquake centered in Warner, NH. Luckily, it didn't cause any damage, but people reported hearing a loud explosion.
This comes on the heels of an explosion heard not far from Warner, in the neighboring town of Hopkinton. Two (thieves) people were killed when they tried to use a blowtorch to enter a locked safe at a landscaping company. The safe contained fireworks which exploded from the torch.
And just in case you think that all news coming out of NH is awful, here's an uplifting story. A Concord, NH waitress footed the bill for two servicemen affected by the government shutdown. The waitress (who has her own bills to pay) felt compassion when she overhear them talk about not being paid.
Lastly, New London's Gazebo was voted in the "Best OF" Category from NH Magazine.
