Yesterday's post showed how to make a rustic Christmas Star with 5 sticks, twine and a glue gun.
Today are some variations on that easy technique.
Instead of making the star with sticks from the yard, how about using cinnamon sticks for a fragrant star? The rolled bark looks even more rustic and pretty.
And still using the cinnamon, try changing the shape from a star to a wreath, using only 4 sticks. It's the same procedure. Here I hung a twig star inside the square.
And here I used the sticks just as I did in the original stick star. This time I made the square, but added a striped ornament hanging inside and some pinecones to the intersecting sticks. All are rustic and easy to make!
