Illustrated Recipe: Beer Bread

Here's a favorite recipe that my girls love. A quick bread made with a bottle of beer, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add to a loaf pan and bake. You can also add an egg glaze before baking for an attractive crust.
You can alter the recipe by adding:
3 tsp dried herbs (ANY combination of basil, dill, rosemary, oregano, thyme) OR
1/4 cup fresh herbs, diced OR
1/2 cup chopped scallions OR
2 cloves garlic, minced OR
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated OR
1 cup Cheddar Cheese

or any combination of the above.
