Bird Series: Stellar Jay

The Stellar Jay is common in the west part of North America with it's round body and long tail. It is found in evergreen forests as well as campgrounds, parks and places where human food can be found. Like Blue Jays, Stellar Jays are bold, aggressive and their song is a harsh scolding noise.
I altered the background by adding some sponge texture, lightening the background and adding some lace. Even though Jays are beautiful, I always think of them as mean, like "thugs of the bird world". The lace, being tender and gentle is a contrast to the tough birds.
