With the strange winter weather, it should come as no surprise that another winter record was set. Ice-Out was declared on two of New Hampshire's lakes. Lakes Winnipesaukee and Sunapee was declared on March 18th, only 2 months after the lakes were finally declared iced over!
Ice-Outs typically occur during the third week of April, not the third week of March.
This winter has been one of the warmest and least snowy winters on record.
